These addresses were followed by presentations of the archive and the exhibition. Mrs Julia Gearhart, Director of the Visual Resources Collection of the Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University, talked about the discovery of the films in the barrel and the steps that were taken to digitise the material and connect it with the photographic material that already existed in another part of the archive. Next, Mr. Anastasios Douros, who curated the exhibition, presented the exhibition material and talked about the travellers, the quality of the photographs, and the separation of the material into different units, whilst also mentioning the brief but fascinating stories that lay behind the photographs in the exhibition. Immediately afterwards, the film shot by the three travellers on Mount Athos and Meteora in 1929 was presented.
