The Faculty of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Mount Athos Center are jointly organising a screening of Panos Karkanevatos’ documentary ‘Sacred Art’ on Thursday 18 April at 18:30 in Amphitheatre D on the 1st floor of the Faculty of Theology.
It was a great honour for the Mount Athos Center to receive a second visit, within the space of a few months, from His Eminence the Archbishop of America Elpidophoros. During his brief stay in Thessaloniki, His Eminence included in his schedule a visit to the Nedelkos Mansion in order to donate to the Center’s archive a rare Ottoman newspaper from 1926, an item from his own personal archive whose front page features a special article on Mount Athos.
The Mount Athos Center of Thessaloniki and the Mount Athos Foundation of America are pleased to present the event entitled ‘Mount Athos: The Ark of Orthodoxy’.
The event will be held on Tuesday 13 September 2022 at the Maliotis Cultural Center of the Hellenic College and the Theological School of the Holy Cross in Boston.
